In 2003, Diane Wamhoff made a life-changing discovery during a trip to Honduras. While visiting a small mountain village, she was led to a school where she found children starving, with nothing to eat besides grass and leaves. Several of them were suffering severe malnutrition and parasitic diseases. Without help, some would not survive.
Guided by her son, Angel Timmy, she made a pledge that day to save those children. In the years since that initial trip, she and her husband Bob have done just that, and so much more. Kids are staying in school, graduating, and some have even moved on to college.
Just Because We Care needs your help to continue this progress and our mission to end the cycle of poverty on the mountain – Timmy’s Mountain. We invite you to get acquainted with our story and be a part of helping the children.
