How Can You Help

There are many ways you can help feed, educate and support the children of Honduras!

Donate Today

Your cash donation will help ensure we have the resources to continue feeding the children five days per week. Timmy’s Mountain is a 501c3, and your donation is tax deductible. You may send checks to:

Sponsor a Child:

When you sponsor one of our students, you are helping the children get the nutrition they need so they can be successful in school and go on to a brighter future.

As a sponsor, you pay $1,000 per year or $85.00 per month (100% tax deductible) to feed and help educate the child. Most importantly you give them HOPE and send the message that there is someone who says “I believe in you”. These children live in a world where life can be unsure due to poverty. They come from hard working families that struggle to find jobs and can barely feed their families or keep a dry roof over their heads.

As a sponsor of a child you enter into a friendship with this child. You will receive photos and letters, as well as information about their families and daily lives. You also have the opportunity to go to Honduras on one of our many annual trips and meet your child in person.

Sponsorship lasts as long as your child is in the program, or as long as you choose to continue as a sponsor.

Attend, Sponsor, or Donate to an Upcoming Event

Timmy’s Mountain holds several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to help feed, educate and care for the children. These events are made possible by the generous support of our sponsors, donors and attendees. Events that take place throughout the year include:

  • March – Honduran Street Party Run: This 5K, 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run begins and ends at Streets of St. Charles and features great Honduran swag and a street festival atmosphere with food, beverages, and entertainment at the conclusion of the run. Runners receive a Honduran-style cowboy hat, commemorative t-shirt and medal.
  • June – Just Because We Care Golf Tournament: The major fundraiser of the year, our golf tournament takes place at Bogey Hills Country Club and features a great course, BBQ lunch, plenty of refreshments, and a dinner auction after play has concluded. A host of exciting items are always available for auction including exclusive trips with local sports teams, exotic vacations, memorabilia, and more.
  • September – Timmy’s Mountain One-Club Honduran Golf Tournament: This whacky and fun-filled afternoon of golf is not your typical tournament. Players are allowed only one club for all shots, and Honduran “police” are on the scene to make sure the rules are followed. Refreshments and games are located throughout the course, and the afternoon is capped off with BBQ and a live auction.
  • November – Just Because We Care Trivia Night: Grab a table of smart friends – or those with a lot of random facts swirling in their heads – and join us for our annual trivia night. It’s always a night of fun and lots of laughter. The event also features a silent auction packed with great baskets and goodies including signed sports memorabilia, event tickets & outings, and more.

You may support any one of these events by attending, signing up to be a sponsor, or donating an item for a live or silent auction. Please contact Vicki Ellison-Rodell (314)226-3585 or email for more information.

Travel to Honduras

Supporters of Just Because We Care travel to the mountain several times throughout the year – and there is no better way to see the organization in action than to experience it firsthand. You’ll get to spend time with the children and their families, visit the various projects we’ve completed, and see Honduran life in person. It’s a life changing experience!
